The Prototype Was a Puzzle, Not a Pitch.

A Polish indie team sent us a janky APK with a single, brilliant mechanic. No polished deck, no market analysis—just the prototype. We broke it down, rebuilt the core loop, and shipped a narrative twist that charted on the App Store. This is how we work.

If you have a playable prototype—especially one with hyper-casual bones and a narrative hook—we want to see it. Otherwise, start by understanding how we operate.

Prototype Iteration #4

Core loop diagrammed before any code.

We Prioritize

  • Studios with a playable prototype (APK, WebGL, or executable). A slide deck is not a prototype.
  • Current focus: Hyper-casual mechanics fused with a narrative twist or meta-progression.
  • Budget alignment: Milestone-based payment structure. We invoice upon delivery of defined outputs.

Boundaries & Constraints

  • Exclusivity: We take on one major partner per quarter. Inquiries are prioritized by submission date and fit.
  • Compensation Model: We do not accept "rev-share only" deals for initial production. Fair upfront investment is required.
  • Timeline: Average production cycle is 14 weeks from kickoff to soft launch. Rush projects incur a 20% premium.

The Trade-off: Depth vs. Velocity

Our milestone model ensures transparency but requires trust in our expertise. We mitigate client risk by providing weekly builds and detailed review notes.

Benefit

  • • Predictable cash flow
  • • Clear deliverables per phase
  • • Built-in review checkpoints

Cost / Mitigation

  • • Requires detailed initial scope
  • • Change requests are billable
  • Mitigation: We lock scope with a signed Statement of Work.

What Would Change Our View?

Our recommendations are based on the assumption of a lean, efficient workflow. A shift in these parameters requires a re-evaluation.

  • Assumption: Developer has full ownership of all IP.
  • Boundary: Budget is minimum €15k for Phase 1.
  • Assumption: Core team is available for weekly syncs (CET).
  • Boundary: Project must align with our current technical stack (Unity/C#).

Signal Transmission Channels

This form is a secure uplink. Your message is routed directly to the appropriate handler and encrypted in transit. We prioritize clarity and context over length.

Briefing Field

Accepts raw text, Figma/FigJam links, or APK/GGBUILD files. Please describe the core loop and your goals.

Signal Type

Select your channel: Player Support, Press, or Partnership. The Partnership channel is monitored by our Lead Producer.

Response Protocol

We guarantee a receipt acknowledgment within 24 hours. A substantive response may take up to 3 business days.

"We ignore generic 'Dear Sir/Madam' submissions. Address the team by name if you've done your research. It makes a difference."

Glossary of Terms (PlayNexy Lens)

Playable Prototype

We require a build you can run and feel, not a document. A simple Unity WebGL build with a core loop is sufficient. Our opinion: If you can't play it, we can't judge it.

Hyper-Casual Bone

A mechanic that is instantly graspable (tap, swipe, hold). We then layer narrative or progression to increase retention. Our opinion: Complexity is in the systems, not the input.

Narrative Twist

The unexpected layer that makes the core loop meaningful. A simple 'runner' becomes a 'delivery for a dying friend'. Our opinion: The twist must be playable, not just explained.

Milestone-Based

Payment is tied to specific deliverables (e.g., Vertical Slice, Alpha Build). No large upfront fees. Our opinion: Risk is shared, not transferred.

Soft Launch

Limited release to a small audience to test metrics before a full marketing push. Our opinion: Data beats assumptions, always.

Exclusivity

We dedicate one team per quarter to a single, deep partnership. Our opinion: This ensures full focus and aligned incentives.
